A new fan-made modification has just been released that brings together two wildly popular games into one unique experience. The "Baldur's Village" mod allows players to interact with their favorite characters from Baldur's Gate III within the peaceful farming world of Stardew Valley.
What's Included in the Mod
The recently released modification adds a completely new village to the north of Pelican Town. Players can now explore this settlement populated by familiar faces from the critically acclaimed RPG Baldur's Gate III. Among the current features:
- Over 20 characters from Baldur's Gate III
- 6 new locations to explore
- Multiple new shops
- A tavern run by a familiar character
- Unique daily schedules for each character
- Custom dialogues and interactions
Notable characters include Karlach, Will, Alfira, and Astarion. The blonde elf Astarion has received special attention with a complete romance storyline and multiple events. The developers have also noted that the druid Halsin will receive marriage options in future updates.
How to Access the New Content
Players can find the entrance to Baldur's Village in the mountain area near Linus's tent. Once inside the village, players can enter each character's home and interact with them, though not all characters will initially be welcoming to visitors.
Each character maintains their unique personality from Baldur's Gate III, with custom daily routines that make the village feel alive and dynamic. Players can build relationships with these characters just as they would with standard Stardew Valley residents.
Future Development Plans
The development team plans to continue expanding Baldur's Village with:
- Additional storylines
- More items
- New gameplay features
- Expanded character interactions
The scope of future updates will depend on community interest and support. Currently, the mod is available in English and Chinese languages.
How to Download
The Baldur's Village mod is available for free download from Nexus Mods. Players will need a copy of Stardew Valley to use this modification.
This crossover project allows fans of both games to experience a unique blend of the character-rich world of Baldur's Gate with the relaxing gameplay of Stardew Valley.
